The Davidson Farmer's Market (DFM) brings together the region's vibrant agricultural community and the residents of the North Mecklenburg area to create a sustainable lifestyle. Every Saturday morning from May through October local producers with deep roots in the region will be selling their goods in downtown Davidson. The market will be a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers will be on hand to answer your questions, from "How was this grown?" to "How can I reduce my carbon footprint?"
The local producers at the market will include farms, nurseries, bakeries, meat and poultry providers, and specialty foods producers; no distributors or resellers. The DFM will include a variety of quality goods, such as certified organic, naturally grown and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, pastured pork, eggs from free-range chickens, fresh baked goods, herbs, and bedding plants.
The DFM is located between Main and Jackson Streets in downtown Davidson next to Town Hall - just minutes off Interstate I-77 and exit 30 in the Lake Norman area. >>map
The Market's main purpose is to provide local foods. However, long-term plans include music, special events and educational demonstrations. Make sure to bookmark our website and check back often for upcoming events!
